How can you use this Virtual Mobility Toolkit?
Virtual mobility involves the “set of activities supported by ICTs, including e-learning, that realise or facilitate international, collaborative experiences in a context of teaching, training or learning”.
This project is researching how virtual mobility can be used to meaningfully support people with disabilities in accessing and engaging with a range of education or career-enhancing options.
Through this research work and developing connections with those working directly in this sector, this project aims to make virtual mobility more accessible to people with disability in order to enhance inclusive participation in education.
This toolkit opens up a space in which interested parties can develop a deeper understanding of the following:
- TOOLS: what range of assistive technologies are available?
- SUPPORTS: based on research undertaken, what do young people with a disability identify as the supports required to access virtual mobility opportunities?
- OPPORTUNITIES: what types of opportunities exist at national and EU level?
- SCENARIOS: we provide a set of examples of beneficiaries of mobility programmes in different learning contexts and how you can access such programmes
This toolkit will be updated as new examples and insights become available. This project is looking for your input and feedback. You may have experiences that you would like to share of accessing opportunities or dealing with challenges in availing fully of virtual mobility.
We would like to hear your stories and share your learning.
